Ciclo Preparatório, a Portuguese band that was born in the spring of 2012 but that takes us to the musicality and appearance of the 70s/80s, “is conceptual but not artificial”, Dantas tells us.
There are six members in the band: the oldest member is 20 years old, the youngest is 16. Dantas, the band's press officer, is the 7th member who, without getting close to the instruments, gives his face and voice to the media, thus allowing the band to “concentrate on making music”.
With Pedro Tróia — lead singer of Capitães da Areia — as mentor, Ciclo Preparatório — Pape, Graça, Sebastien, Consolação, Benedita and Constança — will draw influences from national music from past decades and aim to be “a small oasis in the midst of Portuguese music.
Within a genre that they characterize as “special rural-chic delico-sweet pop choir”, Ciclo sing stories and confessions in Portuguese pop rock. João Gagliardini Graça's voice mixes with the girls' tuned choirs, tight drums, guitars and bass are the main ingredients of the group's sound, spiced up by the lyrics. Read more on Last.fm.
