Cardboard Cowboy are from Leeds, England and play a ragged kind of pop music - an indie, rock and roll, country bag of tunes you want to sing along to. August 2005 saw them play the Carling Leeds Festival and release their second album, ‘Shorthand For Love’. A scuffed, hazy expansion of it’s predecessor ‘Unload Your Head’ (August 2004), both were released on the band’s own Slapdash Recordings label to the sound of fanfares from lashings of critical trumpets. In May 2006 they embarked on a US tour and plan to return for New York dates in early 2007. In August 2006 they released ‘The Boxroom Tapes Vol.3’ featuring three brand new songs recorded live in their rehearsal room. Read more on Last.fm.
