Drifting at times between fuzz-drenched, oxidized psychedelic decimation into realms of melancholic space-aged pristine pop, Li Xi create a sound that dwells in a world of it's own.
Since 2013 the current incarnation of Li Xi have been mastering their live show and recording their debut album, "Meet Me Somewhere". Monte Vallier's Ruminator Audio was the perfect setting to create their first record. Monte's patience and support proved to help create something the band is quite proud of.
Li Xi is fronted by Maryann Tran who delivers an elixir of delightful melody and percussive aggression. These two elements are what bond Li Xi's sound. Aggressive yet soft, heavy and chaotic yet melancholic and thoughtful.
Aquarius records has said the following regarding Li Xi's 7" Single Macro Garden: "The sound is alternately crunchy and fuzzy and surprisingly aggressive, and wistful and dreamily shimmery.
