Salta are a band from Sydney, Australia, formed in 2012.
From the streets of Argentina to the bars and nooks of Glebe, Salta have been performing rigorously for the last year. With compelling harmonies, melodic basslines and soaring lapsteel, Salta present folk music in an evocative, exuberant and almost haunting light. Rather than fighting for the limelight, the two lead singers harmonise to create a singular voice, competing only when it comes to winning over the audience with the best, and worst, stage banter of the night.
