Led by vocalist and founder Surendra Man Singh, whose distinctive voice and creative vision have carved out a special place for Karma Band in Nepal’s music fraternity, the band continues to resonate with fans, bridging tradition and contemporary rock.
Hits like “Hukka Mero,” “Kaha Hola,” “Maunta,” “Ko Hau Timi,” “Naya Sapana,” “Supari Dana,” and “Yani Maya” have not only gained popularity but also redefined Nepali lok music for a modern audience.
Surendra Man Singh, the frontman of Karma, whose raspy vocals helped cement the legacy of Karma band, brought out “Hukka Mero”, “Yani Maya”, “Kaha Hola Ghar Bara”, and other immortal songs that defined the 90s and the 2000s. Nepali rock fusion with traditional Newari rhythms found a home with Karma, and Karma’s fame is now known for electrifying guitars mixed with folk instruments. In every song, every show, every fanfare, and in every ballyhoo – Karma displays the authentic Newari music while pulling the crowd from every genre.
