Born in Leicester but living in Lincoln, UK since 2001, Viv Murrell writes songs and sings them with her band. Formed in 2007 and originally featuring Matthew Ellis (Bass) Joseph Hoare (Guitar) and James Middleton (Drums). Ellis was replaced in 2009 by Isaac Marshall after leaving to devote his time to his other band, The Silver Lakes

Murrell cites influences such as Jeff Buckley, Muse, Imogen Heap, Radiohead, Mozart & Handel.
