Kemi Akinbileje, who goes by Lady Kiwi, is a 16 year old singer, rapper, actress, dancer, and songwriter of Honduran and Nigerian descent. Born and raised in the DC metropolitan area, she is ringing in a new era and decade with her diverse talents that bring timely messages to the tune of rap, traditional, pop and other genres. Lady Kiwi jumpstarted her performing career at the age of 4 years old when she had a leading role at a preschool Bible camp and recorded her first song when she was 11 years old. She started taking music seriously as a career in 2008 when she started producing music with other artists residing in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area, including Yung Trae, an artist nominated for the region's best Male Rapper.
Her influences include Angel Haze, Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj, Beyonce, and Rihanna. She writes all of her own lyrics, and plays guitar, piano, and the violin. Now that Lady Kiwi is going on 17, she has recorded over 80 original songs. She also has three mixtapes released and is on to creating her first EP with a few producers around her area.
