Lee grew up in rural Devon and has been writing songs for as long as he can remember. Formerly in a band called artisan, Lee spent years playing in and around London, writing, recording and performing with Joe, now of Broadcast 2000. The band dissolved when Lee left the UK to work in Malawi, where he continued writing and started to develop a more distinctive sound of his own. Committed to conservation, Lee finds constant inspiration through his work with wildlife and the environment, and when not writing or recording spends his time tramping the countryside, listening for rustlings in hedges. His songs are simple, honest and unpretentious and track his journey from Devon to London to Malawi, and the on-going search for a place to call home.
