S.W.I.M - S.W.I.M

S.W.I.M is better known as one half of Bass Brigade. Born in 1981. His passion to music developed at an early age due to listening to father's records.He started piano lessons when he was 12.
S.W.I.M producing career started in 1995 when he discovered FastTracker music program and from the very begining it was house,techno and electro.While working with the sounds and music, his skill progress and he followed the transition of house into electro and then into drum'n'bass.
In 1999, after few Years of producing music he decided to try as a Dj.In 2000 he introduced himself to the Polish d'n'b scene by starting with Zuku and Kwazar one of 'Radiostacja Radio' most well respected weekly d'n'b music radio show.In 2001, the trio started recording together under the name BASS BRIGADE.

In second half of 2003 he was asked by Harper and Bert to join their breakbeat project called Boogie Mafia. They made a debut single called 'How the party was won' which was reviewd by 'DJ Magazine'.

His musician and technical experience with his own style, emerged in work for TV and radio, where he has been commisioned to write music for commercials, jingles and background music.As a composer, S.W.I.M has always searched for new and frash sound and music.



KWAZAR - Kwazar

Kwazar means quasar, QSO, quasi stellar object. In 2000 I became a crew member of the legendarny Radiostation – the first and only polish nationwide alternative radio- RIP. Since than I played in clubs around Poland. After 3 years in Radiostation I moved to Polish Radio Bis and than to Radio Kampus where I promote broken bass music. Though I made first steps on drum’n’bass scene, now you won't find any limitations in my sets and productions. Thanks to big collection of music - own productuions, blends, dubs from other producers I try to smash the dancefloor in a different ways with a peculiar mixture of broken bass music- the whole spectrum of drum’n’bass, jungle and dubstep, surfing in 60 – 200 bpm. I'm finishing my sound engeneering studies at Warsaw Academy of Film and Theatre. I was honored to attend RBMA 2008 in Barcelona. My crews are: Respecta (with Playaman and Mono) that is responsible for the biggest jungle earthquakes in Poland and Bass Brigade (with S.w.i.m, broken bass oriented). With mi-ka I organise Drumming Jamming- DJ + musicians sessions. I'm a promoter of Dubstep Finest night in Warsaw and an owner of the music agency Around Sound. Read more on Last.fm.
