Maartje Teussink is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer and vocalist based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Having studied some basics on the clarinet, she studied percussion and classical singing at the Janacek Music Academy in Brno. At the Academy for Music and Theater in Amsterdam she finished her studies in 2003 and continued for studies (two years) at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, and more.

Next to gathering experience as a composer and live performer in theatres she self-releases her music, combining alternative pop with classical influences.

As a songwriter, building her repertoire began in high school. Teussink's musical style can be described as lyrical and alternative, combining different musical influences and instruments such as guitars, drums, bass, piano, synthesizer, vocals, samples, clarinet, bouzouki, percussion, et cetera.
