Darryl Buchanan: Darryl developed his musical talents during his high school years in South Bend, Indiana. At age 17 Darryl was discovered and recruited by Motown's legendary sax man Jr. Walker. As a memner of Jr. Walker & The Allstars Darryl toured the United States, Canada and Europe. While touring, Darryl became a part of Jr. Walker's opening act. His musical talents and stage persona has earned him popularity with diverse crowds worldwide. Darryl toured with Jr. Walker until his untimely death in 1995. Their last performance was at New York's famed Apollo Theatre. Darryl has performed on numerous TV shows including NBC's Saturday Night Live and Good Morning America. He also toured with many music legands like famed James Brown band leader, trombonist Fred Wesley. In 1993 he was invited to President Bill Clinton's Inaugural Ball to perform with JR. Walker and still does some tours with the legends of Motown. Darryl's first recording project was released in Europe with Chicago's legendary drummer and former Marvin Gaye “Sexual Healing” beat master, Doni Hagen. Being able to play mutiple instruments, Darryl is called for many live music performances. He is the owner of Planet Love Music Publishing Co. BMI and has released his lastest music CD project with Chicago writer, producer and former NFL player, Don Carlos in 2011. When not touring as a backup musician, Darryl performs in area clubs and venues with his band "Darryl Buchanan. & The Reflections", one of the hottest live R&B dance shows in the Midwest. With a spectacular stage show, Darryl’s dynamic performances and vocal ability have captivated crowds for many years. His smooth voice has been compared to Earth Wind & Fire's Phillip Baily and Prince. On August 29, 2009 Darryl was awarded the certificate of recognition by the city of South Bend, Mayor Stephen J Luecke for his accomplishments during his thirty years in music.
