etchings was from the philadelphia area around 2003ish. guitar, drums, and vocals stayed the same while there was a rotating lineup of bass players.

there was a 8 song demo under the band name etchings of manzanar. the band decided to drop the end part of the name around the time of writing and recording the say hi to your folks ep. between the demo and ep there was a promo cd with one or two songs on it.

the band got a deal with inkblot records but disbanded shortly after not releasing anything else.

members went on to play in a modest promise, fighter hayabusa, panthers vs wolves, john wilkes youth, arrows, and probablly a ton other bands too.
