Biography:
Veiled in Scarlet is a Melodic Death Metal band, with huge Neo-Classical influences, and is the true spiritual successor of SERPENT. It was formed in 2010 in Kobe, Japan, two years after Keija put his older band SERPENT on ice, then most likely threw into the ocean.
Veiled in Scarlet is Keija's (Ex. Serpent drummer) and Hiroki's (Ex. Serpent Guitarist) new band/project after leaving Serpent, and they play almost in the same style as they did in Serpent.
For the album 'IDEALISM' Aki (Ex. Serpent Guitarist) helped out with guitar-recordings on some of the tracks too. Also, many of the unreleased songs that should have been released on Serpent's 3rd album were instead remade/remastered and released on Veiled in Scarlet's debut album "IDEALISM".
In 2012, after Idealism's release, vocalist 'Shun' (not to be confused with later vocalist called Shin) departed from the band and Kubota Dogen, AFTERZERO's and Thousand Eyes' vocalist, took his place. Bassist Hiro (from SERPENT) also helped Keija with Veiled in Scarlet's live-performances as a bass player, as Veiled in Scarlet's lineup lacked a bassist at that time, until 2013.
On 2015, they've asked a vocalist called Yoshiaki Shingyochi (later known by nickname Shin) to do guest vocals in their single The Underworld.
Later, on April 13th, 2016, an album called Reborn with new vocalist MiKu featured the songs rerecorded with MiKu's vocals. However, following the same year, on August 21st, MiKu left the band. Veiled in Scarlet continued to move on, and on December 21st, 2016, an EP released: Lament, once again including Shin's guest vocals, as heard in The Underworld single. Guitarist Syo however left, but played guitar solos on tracks 2 and 4 as a guest musician.
In 2017 they released a single covering Keija's past band Serpent, Cradle of insanity, followed with vocalist Shin officially joining the band.
On November 21st, 2018, the 3rd full-length album released, with same band members: Atonement
Bassist Satoshi however, left at an unknown date (if you know, please edit this wiki and include it) due to a medical condition. Their next release will be without a bassist and after quite a long time, on April 20th, 2022, Cannibalistic Dream released. It's a single that prepared listeners for their 4th full-length album next month.
On May 11th, 2022, the 4th full-length album Reincarnation released. Keija additionally took on the role of bass for himself, but the lineup still remained the same. Here's what this album has to offer (description from user called "dividing line" in metal-archives):
"The full studio album is a rerecording of multiple songs by Veiled in Scarlet's ex-band, Serpent. The album contains 9 songs from Serpent's debut album, Cradle of Insanity, and 7 songs from Serpent's second album, xGODx. "

For now, as of July 23rd 2025 (at the time of editing this), it's currently unknown what this band is up to. Guitarist Izo (2015-2022) left after the last album's release, leaving vocalist Shin with keyboardist and drummer Keija in the band.
