The former band of Cornelius Collins, who now records in collaboration with other members of Sunday Puncher as Present Tense with an album, Nothing So Far, released in fall 2014: http://presenttense.nyc.

Sunday Puncher was an experimental rock band active in the mid to late 90s. The members, including Cornelius Collins and Robert Galligan each on guitar and vocals, met in New Haven, Connecticut, while students at Yale. Beginning with a punk influence, the band performed often on and around campus during the indie rock period of the mid-'90s. Upon graduation in 1995, three core group members moved to Brooklyn, NY. New bass player Tom Noerper remaining in New Haven. The group signed to NYC start-up label Turnbuckle Records and released a series of 7"s as well as its first album, The Livid Eye, which was recorded in New York City and produced by labelmate and Bailter Space guitarist Alister Parker.

For its national tour with Bailterspace in support of The Livid Eye, Noerper was replaced on bass by another Yale graduate. This new lineup recorded a third 7", "Do-Over/Jury Duty," and a second album, For Your Everchanging World, with future DFA/LCD Soundsystem head James Murphy. This second album, recorded with Murphy at the custom studio of Six Finger Satellite in Providence, RI, blends a more thoughtful mood with the arrangements comparable to the math rock of Polvo or Don Caballero.
