1)人生はソウルだ！　という具合に、とにかくぶっ飛ぶような和風ブラック・ミュージックの洪水。しかもコミカルなところもところどころにあり洒落も利いている。スピード感もスバ抜けており「音楽って楽しいなあ」という雰囲気が出ていて身体も勝手に動くってもんである。

2) Stoned Soul Picnic are a Hammond organ based combo formed in 1994 by four musicians with a mutual enthusiasm for the funky soul grooves laid down by the likes of The Meters and The Mohawks. With a sound led by swirling Hammond and fatbak drums, the band have carved a reputation as a formidable live funk outfit.

The bands 45rpm vinyl releases have become staples on the funk djs playlists all over the world and have become collectors items in their own right. They have also featured on Exile On Hammond Street on Acid Jazz records, Soul Shakers Vol 2 and Lets Boogaloo Volumes 1 and 3 on Italy's Recordkicks label.

Their debut album "Erotic Cakes" on french label Soul Cookers Records is every bit as exciting.
