Total Blue is an American band based in Los Angeles, California, consisting of Nicky Benedek, Alex Talan, and Anthony Calonico. Known for their unique blend of ambient jazz, new age, and electronic music, the trio has been creating music together for over a decade, though Total Blue marks a new chapter in their artistic journey. Nicky Benedek and Alex Talan, both integral figures in the Los Angeles music scene, have collaborated on various projects over the years. Benedek, known for his deep dive into '80s-inspired boogie and West Coast G-funk, and Talan, also known as Coolwater, who has a penchant for jazz noir and vintage synthesizers, joined forces with Anthony Calonico to form Total Blue.
