Tryin' Within is a metalcore band hailing from Hedemora, Sweden. The band consists of vocalists Frida Josefsson and Marcus Evaldsson , guitarist Dennis Bergling, bassist Felix Salåker and drummer Anton Rappendal.

The band's journey began when drummer Anton Rappendal and guitarist Marcus Evaldsson started jamming together in the basement of their parents' house in 2015. In 2016, guitarist Dennis Bergling joined forces with them, and together they began crafting their own original compositions. Over time, Tryin' Within underwent changes in their lineup, eventually solidifying with the addition of bassist Felix Salåker and vocalist Kristoffer Evaldsson.

Tryin' Within draws inspiration from a variety of influential acts, including As I Lay Dying, Whitechapel, Architects, and Fit For a King. Their lyrics tackle subjects such as mental health, abuse of power, and societal issues. Additionally, they convey positive messages about individuality, self-discovery, and the importance of following one's own path.

The band released their initial demos for the tracks "Rock Bottom" and "Epinephrine" in January 2019. They performed at Out n' Loud in Hedemora in March 2019 and participated in the Dalarocken event later that same year. In June 2019, Tryin' Within released their first single, "God's Disguise," followed by "Rock Bottom" in September. In August 2020, they unveiled their single "Feels," accompanied by their debut music video.

On December 4, 2020, Tryin' Within released their debut album, "All That I Am," which further solidified their presence within the metalcore scene. The album was produced in collaboration with Alexander Backlund. In January 2022, the band released their second album, titled "State of The Art Misery," showcasing their continued growth and dedication to their craft. They also performed once again at Out n’ Loud in Hedemora on August 13, 2022.

In January 2023, it was announced that vocalist Kristoffer Evaldsson would be departing from the group. Despite this change, Tryin' Within remains determined and has plans to release three singles in 2023. The first single, titled "We Are Not Done," was released in May 2023 and featured Frida Josefsson as the new vocalist.
