David and Courtney Napier, a husband and wife duo, form the two-piece metal band known as TIMŌRĀTUS. They have a penchant for concept albums and narrative structures, as demonstrated by their release of a four-EP set in various metal genres (Black, Death, Doom, and Grind). When played in sequence, these EPs narrate the tale of Kefla, a man who lost everything during the Black Plague era.

In subsequent years, TIMŌRĀTUS embarked on a full-length Doom/Drone Metal project named Reverentia. This too was a concept album, divided into three distinct parts.

Following Reverentia's release, TIMŌRĀTUS joined forces with Weapons of Indignation to produce a two-song EP called Compass. This work leaned towards the Doom/Drone Metal genre, with subtle influences of Black Metal.

In 2018, now officially a duo, TIMŌRĀTUS launched the 7 Deadly Sins EP. This was swiftly followed by The Great Mortality, a re-recorded, remixed, and remastered version of their original four-EP set.

Mid-2018 saw the release of For We Are Not Beasts, an album addressing issues of pornography, lust, and marriage.

In 2019, TIMŌRĀTUS collaborated with Symphony of Heaven and Bismoth to release a black metal split titled Body of Christ. The central theme of this work was the unity of believers.

2020 marked a significant shift for TIMŌRĀTUS as they ventured into family-friendly comedy death metal with their album "My Life in a Mediocre Metal Band".
