Originally formed in 2009, League of Xtraordinary Gentlemen (LXG) was initially a solo project consisting of Dorien Miller (i2edd Extraordinaire/Rocketboii i2edd). Dorien was born and raised in Southfield, Michigan where he began teaching himself the components of music production at the age of 14. As Dorien built up his archive of beats, his friends and family started to acknowledge his undeniable array of talent with Pop, R&B, Techno, House etc. Several years later, this self-taught producer caught the attention of another young talented producer Troycel Redd (CodeRedd), coming straight out of Houston, Texas. Troycel, with a similar introduction to music production he was also his own apprentice and had dreams of one day finally making it. His southern upbringing has provided him with his core sound of hard hitting beats that will have you bopping your head into a neck brace which is a great thing. Instantly, Dorien and Troycel decided that along with their production skills and dichotomy of music styles; together they can provide those “feel good” sounds that the industry had been lacking. The two pooled together their musical strong points and influences, which created a very edgy, melodic, multicultural sound that is far from the norm within Detroit and Houston’s music culture.
