No Operator is a Hard-Rock band from Vancouver Island. Their sound and performance boasts a grit and intensity that sets them apart from the saturated Indie-Rock genre. With the band's heavy show schedule over the past few years, they have worked tirelessly to perfect their craft and sharpen their delivery, recently emerging as a dominant force in their local scene.
Born from the ashes of other local rock and metal bands, No Operator began as a four-piece, and shared the stage locally with the likes of Protest The Hero, Incura, and Head of the Herd. They released their debut album "Weather and War" in 2012, playing numerous island dates in support of its release. In 2013 No Operator expanded to a five-piece, released the singles "State Your Allegiance" and "Sitka", made their first television appearance, and earned their first airplay on commercial radio. Early in 2014, No Operator signed a booking contract with Vancouver's Rednyne Productions, and in June 2014, embarked on their first tour of western-Canada, entitled "Goin for a Rip". The tour included 10 dates throughout BC and Alberta, with No Operator showcasing their craft to hundreds of fans and fellow musicians alike.
In late 2014, No Operator entered the studio with producer/engineer Royce Whittaker (Quartered, Tenant), and mixing engineer Dean Maher (Rise Against, Atreyu). These recording sessions resulted in their finest musical creation to date. On Friday the 13th, of February 2015, No Operator launched their new single titled "Little Pieces", and announced a BC/Alberta tour in support of its release. With their recently gained momentum, No Operator have their sites set on the road, and promise to deliver a stronger, more electrifying performance than ever before.
