In search of comfort & escapism in the solitude of working night shifts, Little Music was created by Alex Reade in 2012 to explore ambient / electronic music, and captures the evolution of Alex's taste in ambient & post-rock music in the clear shift in sound from 2012's , to 2013's .

All would be mostly quiet from there for Little Music, save for a few singles and 2016's EP. Alex's explorations in sound led to the creation and success of in 2020, and as ambient music became more and more prominent in the DNA of his music once again, that love of ambience and emotion in music delivered Alex back to Little Music, and the creation of new music in 2022 brought about a reboot of the project with the release of - a collection of piano sketches recorded on August 12th, 2022 exploring nostalgia and reflection on a version of life gone by.

In 2023 Little Music prepares for the release of two full-length ambient projects. Written during writing sessions with a close friend, these albums serve as a reintroduction to Little Music and painting a picture of the vast & emotive musical journeys ahead for the project.
