COUNT is Gabbi McPhee. She was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

Gabbi was exposed to the musical tastes of her parents for much of her childhood. Everything from Classical, Celtic, Opera and Country. She went with her parents to see Faith Hill & Tim McGraw at age 7. At her first concert and sitting near the front row, Faith Hill threw her guitar pick into the audience. Gabbi caught it. She decided then and there that she wanted to inspire people to feel the way she felt in that moment.

Her parents, always supportive of her passion, saw Gabbi at 8 years old begin voice lessons in earnest, also performing locally. As she grew, her inspiration continued. And now she has a musical taste of her own, listening to acts like Feist, Iron and Wine, Wilco, Robyn, a bit of Motown and definitely some Buddy Holly.

At 14 she co-wrote her first song titled Come Back Home.

When Gabbi was 17, her father passed away. This left her uninspired and uninterested in music for quite some time. In 2011, after writing her first song in almost two years, she realized that music was truly an important part of her life and what she loved to do most.
