Gwerinos ("Rabble") is a Welsh folk-rock band founded in 1987 in Dolgellau (following the founding of a folk festival in 1978). The band perform a mix of traditional tunes and songs, drawing from the traditional sources of Wales, along with original material written by the band members. The band initially split in 2002 and subsequently got back together in 2013.

The original band members were Dan Morris (violin), Elfed ap Gomer (bass), Huw Dylan Owen (mandolin), Bernard Barnes (pipe), Alan Moller (Uillean pipes), Chris Knowles (harp and bouzouki), Ywain Myfyr ( guitar, bodhran and harmonica), Celt Roberts (caller and accordion) and Iwan Parry (violin). By 1992, the group's membership looked quite different: five members had left and two new members had joined, leaving six: Tony Hodgson (pip) and Emlyn Gomer (drums and guitar) joined Dan Morris, Elfed ap Gomer, Ywain Myfyr and Huw Dylan Owen, who were by then on guitar and vocals.

By the 2010s, the members were: Elfed ap Gomer on bass guitar, accordion, keyboards and voice; Gareth Jones on drums and background vocals; Idris Morris Jones on violin and background vocals; Tudur Huws Jones on banjo, mandola, mandolin, bouzouki, and vocals; Ywain Myfyr on guitar, bodhran, harmonica and vocals; Emlyn Roberts on guitar, bouzouki and vocals, and Roger Vaughan on bass guitar and background vocals.

Shortly after, Huw Dylan and Dan Morris left the band, with Huw Dylan forming the folk-punk group Defaid. They were replaced by Tudur Huws Jones (banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, pipes and vocals), and later Idris Morris Jones (violin) and Gareth Jones (Jôs) joined on drums, as Emlyn Gomer moved to guitar, bouzouki and voice. There was a two-year stint with the lineup including Ywain Myfyr, Emlyn Gomer, Idris Morris Jones, Elfed ap Gomer, Huw Dylan and Tudur Huws Jones. Elfed ap Gomer moved to play the keyboards and Roger Vaughan joined on the bass guitar. Here are the members who recorded the second album, Seilam , released in 1997. In 1999 they released their third album, Full Moon (Sain, 1999). The group were now Tudur Huws Jones (banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, pipes and vocals), Elfed ap Gomer (keyboards and accordion), Emlyn Roberts (guitar, bouzouki and vocals), Marc Jones (bass), Idris Morris Jones (violin), Gareth Jones (drums), Ywain Myfyr (guitar, bodhran, harmonica and vocals). Tudur Huws Jones left in 2000 and was joined by Aled Rees Jones (guitar).

Huw Roberts (violin) joined the band for tours to Ukraine and Frisia in 2001. The band made their 'last' appearance at the 2002 Cefni Festival.

In 2013, some of the members got back together and continued to perform occasionally. Membership by 2016 was Tudur Huws Jones (banjo, mandolin, bouzouki and pipe), Aled Rees Jones (guitar), Gareth Jones (cajon and pipe), Idris Morris Jones (violin and voice), Ywain Myfyr (guitar, bodhran, harmonica and vocals) and Nicolas Davalan (double bass).
