Dáithí Sproule (born in Derry, Northern Ireland, on 23 May 1950) is a guitarist and singer of traditional Irish music. He is the grandson of Irish politician Frank Carney and uncle of singer Claire Sproule. He co-formed the band Skara Brae in 1970 and has been a member of the band Altan since 1992. He has collaborated with many artists, including recording as Dáithí Sproule & Laura MacKenzie.

As a teenager he had met the Ó Domhnaill family during trips to the Gaeltacht area of Rann na Feirste in Co. Donegal, and while in Dublin in 1970 they formed the band Skara Brae.

In 1992, Sproule joined the band Altan for the recording of the band's album "Harvest Storm". He continues with the band.
