The guys of Transportation met at Amherst College during the 90s and after graduation all three moved to Chapel Hill, NC. The trio has recorded an impressive amount of material over the years that's yielded a three song 7" release and an eighteen song cd-r called Transportation Hour which was given away free to friends. These two Transportation records are now being offered as free mp3 downloads from the Fractured Discs website. Now, Fast forward to 2008, close to a decade later, and we are gifted with the rock/pop magic of their much anticipated first 'official' full length record, Daydreams.

Transportation strives to remain sympathetic to the more traditional genres of American and British Rock while also continuing to seek a contemporary relevance. To that end they have achieved local success by underscoring the things they like so much about the music they grew up with.
