Blurain is a little known solo synth-rock and alternative-rock artist from Alaska. He is most known for his YouTube channel of the same name, where he makes content ranging from gaming, music, and animation. Blurain's channel was created on February 17, 2015.

Blurain began work on his debut album What Life Really Means in the fall of 2019 ,releasing all tracks one by one as singles on YouTube and Soundcloud until the whole album was released. The album featured an eclectic blend of alternative rock, alternative-pop, and other genres, taking inspiration from bands like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, and Green Day. The album was praised by fans of Blurain's channel, and tracks like "Alaskan", "She's the Lucky One", "And So...", and "Brand New Millennium" reached over 300 plays on Soundcloud and boasted just as many views on YouTube as well. What Life Really Means received a deluxe edition soon after release, and was dedicated to semi-popular YouTube animator, Ava G, a person Blurain personally thanks for inspiration and motivation via her animated content.

After the success with fans with What Life Really Means, Blurain would soon release three new albums with only about a month's span of wait between each release. First came 2005, which dropped February 5th, 2020, and would be largely ignored and forgotten by fans. Next came You on February 22nd, 2020, which received mixed reactions with friends and fans of Blurain. Many fans where turned off by You's abrasive sound and violent lyrical content, and felt that the other album idea Blurain had the time, Don't Come Home, would have been the better option to make. It would be two months until Blurain would drop his fourth album on Soundcloud, Flower of Forgiveness, on April 25th, 2020, to again receive mixed reactions from fans, even with it's sound and lyrical content being trimmed down in edge a great deal. However, during the singles cycle of Flower of Forgiveness, Blurain dropped The Satan Eyes EP, which was his first project since What Life Really Means to receive generally positive reviews from fans. The Satan Eyes EP offered a more introspective and less aggressive look into the aspects and themes brought up in You. In spite of all this, none of these releases would see large amounts of plays on Soundcloud.

On June 2nd, 2020, Blurain would drop what was at the time his most anticipated album at the time, Facing What's Ahead. The singles brought a lot of hype to the album as fans where happy to see that Blurain had shed his rage persona he had dawned since the You era, instead bringing in a sound more reminiscent of pop-punk. Although only a handful of tracks on Facing What's Ahead cracked above 100 plays on Soundcloud, the album was still well-received and the cover of Blink-182's "Dammit" currently has over 2,500 plays on Soundcloud.

Blurain would release one more album before going on hiatus from making full length albums. On July 2nd, 2020, Blurain released his self titled sixth album on Soundcloud. The Alaskan artists would delve even more into pop-punk with his self titled LP, drawing heavy influence from Blink-182. Still receiving positive reviews, self titled did not reach the same level of positive fan reaction or anticipation as Facing What's Ahead did.

After release his self titled album, Blurain decided to take a hiatus from making full length albums. During this time, he dropped an instrumental album (Hell's Children), and many singles that were eventually released on the compilation album, Of All Things Dark, Bright, and Alone.

Blurain came back from his hiatus on October 15th, 2020, releasing The Last Tear We Shall Ever Shed onto Soundcloud. Clocking in at only 18 minutes, the album received a muted response. Many fans were turned of by Blurain's attempt at rapping and making a nu-metal sound likening back to Linkin Park. Blurain would have success with his next three albums however, those being Legacies, What Life Really Means 2, and his most recent album, I Am Not Myself, which all were received very positively by fans, and are widely regarded as his best work.

Blurain released both Legacies and I Am Not Myself onto Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming services in the May of 2021, and these remain currently his only albums on major streaming services. I Am Not Myself remains Blurain's only album not be released on Soundcloud. Read more on Last.fm.
