The music started in September 2008 when brothers Marcus and Malcolm began collaborating on songs Marcus had worked on in previous years. Over the next two years, the band went through several members before leading back to just the original two. Unable to perform live, the duo focused on recording and also made 2 music videos. They decided on the name Uintahs (named after a mountain range near Salt Lake City where they grew up) and set out to complete the band. Old friend PJ Torres was recruited on bass and Perry Bentley shortly followed on guitar. In October 2010, Uintahs was finally prepared to reach an audience. In recent months, Uintahs has been booked in small bars and large venues such as the Knitting Factory. They continue to focus on recording and building their fan base." Read more on Last.fm.
