Vadim Rudenko is without any doubt one of the great pianists of today. Celebrated by the audience, he also gets major recognition by critics for his technical perfection as well as the depth of his musical interpretations.

Born 1967 in Krasnodar, Russia, Vadim Rudenko started playing the piano at the age of four and appeared in his first public concert at the age of seven. In 1975 he joined the world-famous Central School of Music in Moscow, where he received piano training from outstanding pedagogues such as Anna Artobolevskaya, Vadim Shukanov and Dimitri Bashkirov. He then attended the Moscow Conservatory where he studied with Professor Sergey Dorensky.

Numerous prizes and awards of various international competitions laid the foundations for his successful international pianist career. He was awarded first prize at the “Concertino Praga“ competition in 1982 and was one of the laureates at the “Queen Elizabeth” competition in 1991. Further honors followed with the “Concurso Internacional de Piano Cuidad de Santander Paloma O’Shea”, Spain, as well as the Grand Prix with the “Concorso Internazionale G.B. Viotti” in Vercelli, Italy. Vadim Rudenko is also a double winner of the international Tchaikovsky competition – probably one of the most prestigious honors world-wide. He was awarded with the third prize in 1994 and achieved the second prize in 1998.

Vadim Rudenko is a guest in all major concert halls in the world and he is regularly invited to play with international renowned orchestras. These include the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Amsterdam, the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, the WDR Symphonieorchester Köln, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow and St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestras, the NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo.

He has successfully collaborated with renowned conductors such as Marek Janowski, Philippe Herreweghe, Vassily Sinaisky, Yuri Temirkanov, Vladimir Fedoseev, Gennady Rozhdenstvensky, Vladimir Jurowski and Andrey Boreiko, just to name a few.

In addition to his extensive work as a soloist in major concert halls in the world, Vadim Rudenko is also a much celebrated chamber musician at international festivals. These include the Music Summer Gstaad-Saanen (Switzerland), the Piano Festival Ruhr (Germany), the Carinthian Summer and the Mozarteum Festival (Austria), La Roque d´Anthéron (France), the Newport Music Festival (USA), the Crescendo Festival (France) and the “Stars of the White Nights” Festival in St. Petersburg (Russia).
