"Set On Display, formerly known as History Out The Making, was formed in late July 2006. After a variety of line-ups, the band was finalized with Matt (vocals), Zack (guitar/vocals), and Mark (drums), later to be complemented by Nicky (guitar) and Johnny (bass). Girls fall to their knees worshipping these musical gods. Zack has been quoted saying, “That’s what she said.” when asked about the previous statement. These gorgeous and talented, yet humble, men formed a posse that would (hopefully) transform the local music scene. Gut-wrenching screams and harmonized vocals/guitars are accompanied by commanding breakdowns; some of the softer ballads are influenced by the attractive Arielle LeBeau, while the more “hardcore” ones are influenced by seductive guitarist Nicky Tse. The music of Set On Display cannot be put into a certain genre. “They’re good at mixing it up, keeping us guessing,” says an unnamed source. A heavier sound is provided by Matt, while Zack supplies a more lyrical side. “Arielle’s Song” greatly contrasts with the tone of “Reverse Ponygirl Position,” offering an eclectic variety of music that you’ll never tire of listening to.
