2. Soundproof are a high energy melodic rock band from North Dublin, Ireland. Formed in 2006 by 3 brothers, Stephen, Chris and Neil O'Donoghue. They began writing creative melodies full of harmonies and catchy choruses in what they thought at the time was a "Soundproof" shed....it wasn't. Ronan Power later filled the role as bassist and the ensemble was complete.

Since setting up,Soundproof have been playing gigs all around Dublin in venues such as Whelan's, The Button Factory, The Village, and The Academy. In autumn 2009, Soundproof released their debut EP titled "Shoot Me". The EP gained huge recognition for the band on the Dublin scene.

In May 2010, Soundproof went on to release their first single "Only By The Night" in Nutshead studios peaking at number 44 in the Irish charts without any airplay, management or advertising. The song also received reviews from Heineken Music and Hot Press Magazine.

Both Shoot Me and Only By the Night received radio play on radio stations nationwide after their releases.

The success of "Only By The Night" secured Soundproof a slot at No Place Like Dome Music Festival in June 2010 and was picked up by a Canadian TV network in September. The song was chosen as the theme tune for a new adventure series titled "Best Trip Ever" which aired in Canada in November.

In early 2011 Soundproof got Long-listed for the Emerging talent Competiton to play at Glastonbury 2011.

Soundproof is self-described as "four teens from Cleveland that want to change the world one day, or at least make it a little more bearable."

Soundproof is a Cleveland punk band that formed in 2017, playing shows at venues like Mahall's, Grog Shop, and others. They have one official release, "Take This To Hold You Over", which was released in September 2018. They also have unofficial tracks available on Soundcloud and Youtube.
