Kyle Orth is a classical concert pianist who has performed across the United States, Israel, and Canada. He has soloed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Israel Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, the Plano Symphony Orchestra, the San Angelo Symphony Orchestra, the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Lewisville Lake Symphony Orchestra, and the TCU Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Orth has won many national and international piano competitions, including being named National First-Place Winner in the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Yamaha Senior Piano Competition. He won First Prize at the Lennox International Young Artist's Competition, First Prize at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Lynn Harrell Concerto Competition, and Grand Prize at the Midland-Odessa National Young Artist Competition. He received prizes in the Kingsville International Young Performers Competitions and the Corpus Christi International Piano Competition.
Mr. Orth played at the Meadows Museum on the campus of SMU, for a gala honoring Texas Governor Rick Perry. He has performed for the Fine Arts Chamber Players, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra League, Pro Musica of Dallas, and Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. He has been broadcasted on WRR radio, classical 101.1 in Dallas and performed many times for the Van Cliburn Foundation’s Musical Awakenings® Program.
Mr. Orth's debut CD, Zemer, was recorded at the age of 16. It contains 11 original songs, all of which were composed by Mr. Orth.
Mr. Orth was born in 1990 in Fountain Valley, California, and began studying the piano at the age of 8. As a student of John Owings at Texas Christian University, he is a recipient of several music and academic awards, including the School of Music’s Nordan Young Artist Award. Apart from his classical music studies, Mr. Orth enjoys reading, writing, music composition, and English Country Dancing.
