1) Austria was formed by Lautaro Gonzalez de Cap and Martin Rougier. The two met through music circles in their hometown of Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. The band later added guitarist and producer, Franco Mascotti. Austria showcased at the Latin Alternative Music Conference in Los Angeles and New York in 2008, which led to their publishing and record deals with Cadium Music. Just beginning to get coverage in the United States, Octavio Manterola of Latin Alternative declared, "Austria carries an obvious forté for memorable hooks though and there’s an unusually high concentrate of catchy ideas."

The band toured Southern California in 2011.
