Hi Ho started as a solo acoustic project of Chicago singer-songwriter Gillian McGhee. When her melodic punk band Turnspit started to gain some traction, she let Hi Ho take a back seat until Turnspit disbanded in 2019. Over the pandemic, Gillian intentionally reimagined what her next musical endeavor would be and decided to bring Hi Ho into its next era. With a fresh, full band lineup, this iteration of Hi Ho weaves together delicate deliveries and intimate lyrics with huge guitars and powerful vocals to create a sound that's moody, melodic and deeply emotive.
