that you change that soon,
And I would hope and pray
If I were you.
Ooh oh oh.
Ooh oh oh oh...
If I were you
If I were you
If I were you
If I were you...

I'd be asking every single person I knew
To gently say a pray for me...
'Cause I will most assuredly die this century
And in this oppertune-filled life that I will leave
I hope to God that I'll live for you and not for me
Woahh oh oh oh ...woahhh... no no no no no...

Oh...
(Can you hear me? Can you hear me now?
Is this thing on? Can you hear me?)
'Cause I am speaking loud and cleaaar!
Woah! Yeah!Lyrics provided by TANCODEhttp://lyricsever.com/" readonly=""/>

Destiny Lyrics

I started to feel while I was
Walking down the street
Yes I did, and I started thinking
'Bout my destiny...
And how maybe, maybe just someday
I could repay all the times you sang

All of your warm colors
Have painted all my days
And all of the tragic tears
you took off of my face
'Cause I've fallen off of these train tracks
And nearly seen my death
And I stand here with a song
About to live

This will be my destiny
You will be my song and I will sing
So don't cover up your ears at me
And what I have to tell
I will bet these words, they find you well

I know, I know, when I see it
I will know, it's home
That I'll go, when it's my turn to clock out
It's almost like dreaming,
It's something I can't explain
That it's almost hard to think the same
To try to be a different way

This will be my destiny
You will be my song and I will sing
So don't cover up your ears at me
And what I have to tell...

So you, do you know what it is you do?
I assume that you're thinking,
"Why yes, I do."
Oh I just hope, and I pray
that you change that soon,
And I would hope and pray

Woah! Yeah!

Tarnation was an American alternative country band, formed by Paula Frazer in late 1992. The band split up in 1997, Frazer continues to release music and tour under her own name.

Tarnation originally comprised just Frazer on vocals and guitar, but she was joined in 1993 by Brandan Kearny on lap steel guitar and Brent Johnson on guitar and vocals.

Musicians Michelle Cernuto, Lincoln Allen and Matt Sullivan soon joined the band. With this line-up, Tarnation released the album I’ll Give You Something To Cry About on Nuf Sed Records in 1993.

Cernuto, Allen and Sullivan left the band in May 1995, after recording the album Gentle Creatures. It was released on 4AD later that year, featuring seven re-worked songs from I’ll Give You Something To Cry About.

Frazer quickly reformed Tarnation, with a line-up including Alex Oropeza on guitar, Bill Cuevas on bass and lap steel guitar and Joe Byrnes on drums.

Jamie Meagan joined on bass in 1997, in time to take part in the recording sessions for the band's final album, Mirador.

After the break-up of Tarnation, Oropeza and Byrnes continue to play in their own band, Broken Horse, while Frazer continues as a solo artist.
