Sameer Rao is a young flautist from India. He is the desciple of the bansuri wizard Pt.Hariprasad Chaurasia. Sameer participated in Alchemy Festival 2011 and 2012. He played bansuri with Matthew Sharp on cello on 17th April 2012. The program was entitled Whale Music. Sameer Rao lives in Bhuvaneswar, india and travels to give concerts in Indian classical flute (bansuri) music. The samples of his music can be heard on youtube. Read more on Last.fm.
