The System Lights is a guitar-oriented mixture of atmospheric British and American influenced music. Lyrics are taken from shelves of classic and obscure literature as well as this thing called reality. Moody vocals and blistering, effects laden – as well as bare bones – guitar, are part of this concoction that walks the line between obscure indie and commercial radio rock and roll.

David Rangel (vocals) and Slim Jacobs (guitar) collaborated for a short time back in 2009. In an unusual twist of fate and perfect timing, their paths crossed again in November of 2012 at a Pablove Foundation music charity event, and the team officially rejoined shortly after.
