Marc Vaíllo
Barcelona, 1975
Composer and Audiovisual Communication graduate by Universitat Pompeu Fabra, his work has been performed in the Palau de la Generalitat, Sala Metrònom and at the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB); amongst others. He was awarded the New Talent Pavillion at Milia98 (Cannes) with his graduation project (Infern, by Dante).
He has composed the music for a number of awarded short films and documentaries; in 2005 he composed the soundtrack for his first feature thriller film The Uninvited Guest (El Habitante Incierto), awarded in Sitges and Bilbao film festivals, and has collaborated in several films like Filmax’s Gisaku (2006) and Aparecidos (2008).
His last work is OJO POR OJO (An eye for an eye), 2-chaper TV series released by TVE, premeired june 2010. Now he's working on a documentary feature film ORSON WEST by Fran Ruvira.
Today he combines teaching with the film and concert hall music writing.

Member, founder and director of Morpheus Ensemble, contemporary music group, dedicated to composing and performing film scores. Live concerts include original music for LICHTSPIEL OPUS 1, OPUS 2 and EIN LICHTSPIEL: SCHWARZ, WEISS, GRAU, based en short films by Walter Ruttmann and L. Moholy-Nágy. Performed at GANDULES 2002 (CCCB), Barcelona.
