Dave Whitcher is a guitarist and songwriter from Portland, Oregon. Dave Whitcher Saga is a cross country collaboration with a Nashville studio and musicians, made possible by a successful Kickstarter campaign in the summer of 2016. Whitcher studied, wrote and performed in many styles over the years, releasing a variety of musical styles under different names. The intent of the Dave Whitcher Saga is to capture the broadest possible audience with mainstream rock/country songs, showcasing Whitcher's writing style, which is acoustic guitar driven, with carefully crafted lyrics, most of which are written and performed from a female point of view. Optimism couched in what could have been make the songs pained, yet hopeful all at once. Another project is slated for release in the summer of 2017.
