For the past three years the collaboration between futurist Metrognome (Not Breathing, X23) and conceptualist Falcotronik (The Fraction, Not Breathing, PacTronik) has produced Crumping on Clouds. Known best for their live electronic improv jams and gallery installations, Crumping on Clouds is a series snap shoots from R&D projects and post concert late night jams. Fusing elements of Glitch-Hop, Booty Bass, Dubstep, Halfstep, Crunk, Electro and Retro Science Fiction, Metrognome:Falcotronik are pushing the limits of dance music and live multimedia into the realm of high art. Crumping on Clouds was sonically designed by Metrognome using his own custom made touch screen Reaktor meta-machines: Fingerbang Hex Sequencer, Intellectualist V1 & V2, X2303 and ShadeShifter. All Metrognome’s meta-machines are controlled by a custom made IR projection touch screen with a wii controller. Falcotronik’s blending of audio and video focus’s the underlining themes for Crumping on Clouds, with homages to retro futurism, post-modern isolation and social injustice. Crumping on Clouds is the next level of musical evolution, you must destroy all rational concepts as you become assimilated into the world of Metrognome:Falcotronik.

Metrognome aka Karl White creates and performs music using custom software and touchscreen technologies. Design philosophy: software interfaces need not mimic hardware interfaces; vegetarian dishes need not mimic carnivore dishes. Falcotronik is a producer, 3D animator, artist, VJ, DJ, and programmer.
