Hailing from the tiny hamlet of Wolcott, VT, Seth Yacovone emerged in the late 1990's as one of the preeminent young guitarists in all of New England. First emerging as the Seth Yacovone Blues Band, the young Seth would soon stretch his horizons considerably in his next incarnation, the jammy Seth Yacovone Band, featuring bassist Tommy Coggio, and drummer Steve Hadeka. In 1998, he gained quick national notoriety, especially among the 'jam-band' community, when he was invited to play one of his original songs, 'All The Pain Through The Years', onstage with Vermont rock gods Phish, onstage in Worcester, MA in December of that year. Playing a dazzling mix of blues, jam, and balls-out rock, the band blazed a furious trail throughout the Northeast during the 1st part of the 21st century. Recently re-formed with the classic aforementioned lineup, with new keyboardist Adam King (from local jam titans Turkey Bullion Mafia) the band is an absolute must-see live (catch the new SYB live at the Matterhorn in Stowe, VT on February 6th, 2009).
