Put on MISDIRECTION’s debut album ‘Cast No Shadows’ and in the time it takes to change into your favourite undies, the polished, tight and fresh sounds from this Gold Coast four piece will both sooth your ears and thump your chest. Their music is a dynamic melting pot of different ideas, influences and inspirations, blending dreamy and uplifting acoustic melodies, classic Australian rock and sometimes darker more intense overtones.

Their first release “.inertia” in 2005 received rave reviews for its raw and powerful sound with the boys amassing a huge local following as they became renowned for their high energy live shows.

Building upon the success of .inertia, they released their first album “Cast No Shadows” in 2008 through MGM and iTunes which saw them acquire the local support slots for acts such as Helmet, Shihad and the Screaming Jets.

This hard work culminated in being selected to play the Gold Coast Big Day Out in 2009 on the Hot Produce stage, as well as being featured in an article alongside Rock legend Neil Young in the Gold Coast Bulletin.

Musical and artistic integrity, as well as the love and appreciation for the fans will always be at the heart of MISDIRECTION and although only time will tell what lies ahead for the boys, the future is looking bright and in the journey, the battle is already won! With more national tours to follow as they continue to promote the new album, there is no doubt you will see MISDIRECTION come to a town near you very soon.
