Dreaming In Red Lyrics

Once upon a time, yeah
oh, somewhere far away from here, alright
i was drowning in a deep sea
i got no ground beneath my feet
ooh, and there's so many faces
i'm new york and i'm japan oh oh, yeah
there's so many things that i wanna know
but i'll never understand
Now i'm dreaming in red
just drifting away, oh oh yeah
i'm dreaming in red
come and take me away
I've just gotta get it right, oh
before i make it wrong
yeah, 'cos i'm breaking out rising up
while the world is falling down
oh oh yeah yeah yeah
Now i'm dreaming in red
just drifting away, oh oh yeah
i'm dreaming in red
come and take me away oh oh
Just take me away
oh i'm dreaming in red
I see the sun behind the night sky
one less moment before i say goodbye
'ey 'ey yeah
Once upon a time, yeah
oh, somewhere far away from here, alright
Now i'm dreaming in red
just drifting away, oh oh yeah
i'm dreaming in red ooooh
come and take me away
oh i'm dreaming in red
just drifting away, oh oh yeah
well i'm dreaming in red ooooh
come and take me away

The Calling was a rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band started off with Alex Band (vocals) teaming up with Aaron Kamin (guitars) after the pair became friends as teenagers (Kamin was dating Band's sister at the time), and they signed a development deal with RCA. Their first album, Camino Palmero, was issued in July 2001, and it became a hit on the strength of its first single, "Wherever You Will Go". The track, a top 40 hit in twelve different countries, brought the group surprise success.

New touring members joined after the album was recorded: Sean Woolstenhulme (guitars), Billy Mohler (bass), and Nate Wood (drums). Band and Kamin returned in June 2004 with Two (also known as 'II'). New touring musicians were hired: Daniel Damico (guitars), Justin Derrico (gutars), Corey Britz (bass), and Justin Meyer (drums). Despite radio-friendly tracks and an enthusiastic fan response, the album failed to meet commercial expectations, leading to tension between the group and the label.

In June 2005, the band announced they were going on hiatus, and frontman Alex Band announced plans to publish a solo album. Alex finished recording his album, entitled We've All Been There, and released it in May 2010, with the first single "Tonight" released the preceeding February. Alex also pre-released the album through a bracelet line called Blackstar Bracelets, which can be purchased at a number of department stores in the U.S. as well as online.

The Calling reformed in 2013, with a new line-up still featuring Alex Band, and this incarnation of the band played its first gig on August 16 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The otherwise joyous event was marred by a kidnapping incident involving Band, with the musician beaten-up and then dumped after being mugged. Having recovered, the group is currently touring for its cult fanbase. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
