Kurtis, haling from Bondi and Byron and all points east coast Australia, has been slowly but surely building a reputation over the last few years, not only as a dynamic and exciting performer but as a polished singer songwriter. After settling in Byron Bay he set about establishing a unique identity and sound. Surrounding himself with a variety of creative collaborators, the new band called simply Kurtis, and featuring some of the areas finest young players, began establishing a new sound and a reputation amongst loyal audiences as a lethally grooving dance outfit. With core members Sam Shine (guitar), Brook Rees (bass) and producer/MD Murray Burns the collective brains trust set about demoing up the flood of new material.
