Kenneth Takanami (formerly known as Exitpost) is a Japanese-American producer, songwriter, and DJ. He was born in Tokyo and raised in New York City, where he is currently based.

On July 8, 2014, he released his debut album as (exitpost) titled Sweet Fade. On March 31, 2016, he released an EP as Exitpost titled Nami which he wrote and recorded in Tokyo in the summer of 2015. This was his first release of traditional songs, featuring guest vocalists Unmo and Bay Kee. The EP was accompanied by a limited edition 5x5" photo book chronicling his time spent in Japan between 2012 and 2015.

In 2019, Exitpost joined the Los Angeles label Zoom Lens to release the album Two Dreamers on December 12. Recorded between Tokyo and New York from 2017 to 2019, the album was inspired by recurring dreams he experienced throughout his childhood about waking up in Tokyo panicked, unable to return to New York. Upon more recent visits to Japan, he began experiencing the opposite – dreams about waking up in New York, unable to return to Japan. This theme of identity and what "home" means to an Asian-American artist is the foundation of Two Dreamers.

In May of 2020, Exitpost changed his artist name to Kenneth Takanami. All previously released music has been moved to this name and Two Dreamers has been reissued under this name. In a tweet on May 15th, he explained that the name Exitpost "never really meant anything" and "felt like a bygone era of 'anonymity'" that he no longer identifies with. Kenneth is his given name and Takanami is his Japanese surname.
