There are two music projects that use the name Moonsick:

Moonsick is a deathcore band from Madrid, Spain, formed in 2010. All of the members are from Madrid.

It all started back in mid 2010 when bassist Diego C. Torguet decided to form a band. Pretty soon he found rhythm guitarist Rafael Franco. Time passed, they both started composing stuff, but even making small progress the band didn't get anywhere significant. In this period of time the line up suffered sudden and quick changes, and in the mean time the first more thrash than death metal songs were composed.

2012 came by, and the band, which at that time only had its two original members, found Rafa "Hardcore" López (vocals) and Carlos "Xarly" G. Aller (leads). These two new members influenced a lot, turning the band into a more deathcore-ish one.

At the end of 2012 the band had enough songs to record an EP, so in January 2013 they begun self-recording Dusk of Conscience, which is the "basically the best songs we composed in the last three years", a task that took more than seven months, because of time and money issues. After about nine months, the record was ready.

In the end of 2013, Xarly left the group because of personal issues, and the band (finally) found a drummer, Kirian "Destroy". The gap Xarly left was quickly covered by Rodrigo Morillo Morillas, and now the band is reinventing its sound.

Moonsick is the collaborative effort of Matthew McCulloch and Alex Flaskas. The two are based in Australia and write their music by sending audio files back and forth via the internet.
