J RoddyRod was born in a small city called Richmond , Virginia . He loved all kinds of music since he was an adolescent. He was a big fan of music before he ever dreamed of making music of his own . When he was 16 he downloaded his first beat making software onto his PC and started playing around. Soon he became pretty good at it and so did his younger brother , who is now his producer . He brought a cheap 10$ mic from Radio shack and started playing around. He recorded his 1st track in 2005.

Fast forward to 2008 he had better equipment and better music software so he decided to get serious with his music. He formed a Group called PowerHouse with his brothers and cousins in which he was the leader and forefront artist. They became very popular in the city from their good quality music and production . Along the way he composed and produced a uptempo club record titled ” Where da Twerkas At ” . The record was so different it took off. He quickly became the most popular artist in Richmond getting radio play and club spins weekly.

Nowadays J RoddyRod is booking shows out of town spreading his movement as the record gets bigger and bigger and he is becoming more successful by the day. He has loyal fans who follow and support him daily on the social networking websites such as twitter and facebook. His music has reached as far as Arkansas and even deep down in Arlington , Texas.
