Bethel Early Years

Since the moment Bethel entered the earth he described music as colors and images that freed his mind. His talent is naturally reflected by his work. Bethel Morales A.K.A Q.B.A, was born during the 1980 Cuban immigration to the United States.

Bethels grandfather at that time lived in Palma De Mallorca (Spain) and requested that his family reside there until it was safe for them to emigrate to the U.S. In 1985 Bethels family moved to Miami and shortly thereafter his parents split up. While growing up raised in a very religious home, Bethel hid his Run DMC and N.W.A tapes from his mother. Those classic rap groups influence Bethel’s love of the hip hop genre.

Passion

Introduced to art at such a young age and because of his outstanding talents and accomplishments in middle school plays, at the age of eleven Bethel was selected to attend New World School of The Arts.

A few months later still attending N.W.S.A, Bethel remembered a dream he had at the age of twelve spiritually in which the name of his future company came to him - Luminary ( LA LUZ ).

Growing up listening to *Dr. Dre *Wu-Tang * Biggie * Pac *OutKast*

Nas* Snoop * 2 live crew* The Beatles * The Doors * GangStar * Slick Rick *

Jay-Z * Cypress Hills * Miles Davis * John Coltrane * Run DMC Etc.
Bethel passion for poetry and music never dimmed.

The Turning Point

Being sixteen with financial problems, and being raised in a single parent home, Bethels life would have to change in a tremendous way. A new school Coral Park then (Braddock) introduced him to a new life and new people, Bethel caught the eye of the other students through his ciphers he spit and had with his peers in awe by his lyrical ability. .

Living alone in a studio apartment in Kendall barely making ends meet and attending MDCC and F.I.U., things were not easy Bethel. Knowing he could be the

next tragedy, Bethel took all his rhymes and turned them into songs.

In Just a few years Q.B.A went from a Miami street hustler to creating a positive situation out of a negative one. Working with Jairo Martinez A&R at the time of Estephan Ent. gave him an opportunity to work in different studios and gain knowledge of the music business.

In 2000 Bethel was approached by A&R Jorge Fonseca of Sony Latin to rap along with Celia Cruz on the Show Caliente(Esa Negra Tiene Tumbao) but unfortunately due to the serious health conditions of Mrs. Cruz, the 2nd performance never took place but Bethel spent the afternoon with the Queen, and gained a great deal of knowledge of the music industry who was destined to conquer.

Continued Success

That same year Bethel began to collaborate with a friend Dap2, a successful producer from Kendall. The two collaborated for a short time producing tracks (The First and Encounter). Bethel, while not wanting only to create for one market (The South), embarked on his own starting Luminary INc. ( LA LUZ ) and took up a new interest in producing.

Right from the start the sound was unique with flava and spice delivered straight from Cuba.

In late 2001 Bethel made a number of tracks with Castro (City lights* Brown Eyes * Jazz) along with producer Mark Roof of M5 Entertainment also collaborating with KiKo (Song by Four Studio).

Early 2002 Bethel was introduced to Cuatro and gave him his first shot, an upcoming artist to become of Sony Latin. Both were brilliant together as the BudaMunks a jazzed out Spanglish combo with Bethel participating as both producer and artist (songs:Chocolate* 2timingchic *.& The King plus 20 total songs all produced by Bethel), also producing for at the time backup singers. Alley.* Nemesis-_Aaron J Salgado.

Attracting the interest of live show producer Maritza Caseano in October 2002 Bethel took off to Puerto Rico. what Started off as a Latin Hip-Hop contest ended up being a reggaeton contest.

Face to face with an old island monster hitmaker Raggaeton, Bethel had to adapt very quickly to the genre.

While he was in P.R., Bethel was one out of 25 veterans in the game fighting for there position in (la Casa Under). Living in P.R. was a blessing in disguise for Bethel who worked along side every day with hitmaker D.J. Noreaga.

Bethel produced and spit on tracks created from scratch with Noreaga (*Vamos Mami and Al descarro) which were aired on Puerto Rico radio and live performances in front of thousands of viewers. For the next five months Bethel performed in many venues throughout Puerto Rico. Throughout those five months, Bethel received feedback on his music from stars like Visco C, Tego Calderon * Nikki Jam* Tito Y Hector *V. I. Music G.M. Sofia De La Cruz* David Bisbal*Richie Rich *los Rabanes and *Daddy Yankee was quoted on television while he pointed at the sky and said "Qba I'll be seeing u up there with me and the stars" and also comparing Bethel's (QBA's) perfomance to having so much soul he wondered if Qba was a relative of Celia Cruiz, opening act for Don Omar* Tego Calderon *Tito y Hector *Daddy Yankee.

Living on the Enchanted Island gave Bethel enough time to listen to his Roots and bring forth a new style.

Leaving the island in seventh place out of 25 was a victory in Bethels eyes, considering he had never heard of Reggaeton in his life before arriving in P.R.(2002). Arriving back in Miami in March 2003 Bethel teamed up with Lands Mark Entertainment interning under Carl Bosse (CEo) on tracks for Iconz (originators of the crunk movement), producing for Nikkia and Lou Pheonix English upcoming stars. Traveling from Atlanta to Miami frequently and starring in early 2004 in Mellow Man Aces new video (Mujeres y Benzes) and collaborating with Dimelo Records on -Gatta Selosa-.

All around Bethels name is being recognized as a growing light in our community from Writer to Producer, Artist and Actor there’s nothing that can stop this young shining star. After many years of struggle and with imposters trying to mimic his style and name he remains a relic.

In 2005-2010 Bethel has produced Pitbull collaborations with Cubo of I.R.S Records, Cristion D'OR, Brisco, Flo-rida production made for upcoming album B KING (Songs) Gunzz, Take A Hit,,and Chicos the I.R.S Prod. featuring Q-BA just to name a few songs on the way. Pitbul, Nore, FLow Music, and Featured Arist of the Wu-Latino, longside DeffJam/ Shows the diversity and reach of his Cuban Hip hop,

Bethel has been managing and Producing for MoWet R&B sensation from Fort Lauderdale.

Being a Ten year veteran in the music industry, this is just the beginning for Bethel, who already has negosios (business) and prints ready for his solo debut.
