et.nu is a music duo consisting of Lea Maria Fries (vocals and synths) and Julien Herné (bass and production), who met on stage at a gig in Paris. They quickly discovered a shared passion for music and their connection continued offstage as they became a couple. They decided to translate their love into sound and created a record together. The project name, et.nu, stands for a volcanic explosion and a connection to life, simplicity, and honesty, which are the key ingredients of great art.

Their first record captures the journey of a couple negotiating space and creating the architecture for a life to be spent together. The album's tracks are bass and voice-focused, with all sounds played on an electric or synth bass or sung. They even used household appliances like a vacuum cleaner or coffee machine to create some of the sounds in the album.

The album is not a typical love-themed record, but a vivid snapshot of a home being built, including a family with a child. Each track represents a different phase of their love story, from the first meeting to the ups and downs of a relationship. Some tracks feature guest artists like Billy Martin on the drums, and Julien playing guitar.

Et.nu recorded their album in a small cottage they rented in Bretagne, France. They brought various instruments, cables, synths, and even a little plant they got in Berlin to capture the essence of their love and translate it into sound.

Their debut album has received high praise for its uniqueness and high-quality production. Et.nu continues to create music and perform and has gained a dedicated following of fans.
