Musical Focus: I honestly don't have one quite yet. I'm most interested in Industrial Rock, a combination of grungy electronic with equally grungy rock, but I'm also into several kinds of electronica, including Symphonic, Trance, Techno, and Breakbeat (Hip Hop).

Thesis: 'Ey, this is G9. Let's just say this- I'm looking to create industrial music, completely solo. I'm trying to pull a Trent Reznor and/or a Klayton.

Favorite Artists: So what kind of music do I like? I respect a different taste. My favorite artists are all far from the mainstream, and being out west, this includes hip hop and emo alternative. Franz Ferdinand should also be recognized. They are the modern Beatles, and their stuff sounds like no other current artist. While electronic and hip hop have dominated dance scenes, Franz Ferdinand provides some of the only "danceable" music from the rock genre. New and unique is a direct synonym to refreshing. Interpol more than deserves a mention. It sounds retro, yet not retro. It doesn't sound modern, yet it isn't old-fashioned. Paul Banks never stresses his voice... it never sounds stretched. He doesn't scream... he doesn't squeal in the high octaves like most typical punk band vocalists do. His voice is calm, yet not monotonous... and the music that backs up his marvelous singing is incredible. Like Franz Ferdinand, there isn't really anything that sounds much like it. U2 also deserves an ovation, to a certain degree. The band should be congratulated for its inner-fidelity, as its been rolling out relatively unique tracks for around 30 years now. I praise them for sticking together, yet ironically my goal is working alone. Saying that makes me depressed.

Influential Artists: Liking and being influenced by are two different things altogether. But when something influences, it is also being liked... so here are artists that both influence my work and pump through my speakers when I'm not making music: Nine Inch Nails deserves a whole lot of respect. While I can't say everything Mr. Reznor sings about is 100% okay, his music is a unique-sounding noise... it is the new definition of industrial. He redefined the electronic/rock fusion into something of his own, and he must be respected for that. Celldweller is another artist that I greatly respect. If I'm not mistaken, Klayton makes all his music by himself... drums, guitar, everything... and not only that, he produces his own work. And the work sounds great... it's a bit more rock than electronica, so I wouldn't see it's 100% Industrial, but it's around there, and it's one hell of a listen. Front Line Assembly too is another band I admire. Yeah, it may sound mostly electronic, but it's industrial for sure. And I love it... interesting electronic lines, arpeggios, and others keep the music pumping through my speakers. Hybrid is a symphonic electronic group, and you should definitely listen to their songs Dream Stalker, I Choose Noise, and Finished Symphony. They, in my opinion, are the paragon of symphonic electronica, a classical-electronica fusion.
