Annerley Gordon is an English electronic pop singer, who rose to fame towards the later part of the 1990s.
Having moved to live in Italy in the late 1980s, she was talent scouted, and was often used as the lead singer on a series of Europop dance music singles, issued under various aliases. These included Charme, Anne, Ally & Jo, DJ Space'C, A Kay BJ, Alex, Wienna and TH Express. Her first solo single, under her own name, more or less, was "2 Times", first released in 1998. It was a Top 10 hit in Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Norway, as well as in Australia and New Zealand. It also hit Number 2 in Belgium, the UK, and reached Number one in Denmark. In the United States, "2 Times" can also be heard in the 2001 feature film, Head Over Heels as the movie's theme song.
Her second single, "Voices", fared considerably less well, although it was a Top 10 hit in the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Spain. Since which despite releasing other material, she seemingly disappeared from the popular end of the music making scene. In 2007, saw the return of Ann Lee with a new album So Alive with a single "Catches Your Love". So far the releases have only been available as a digital download.
She recently made an appearance on the BBC TV show Never Mind the Buzzcocks, which aired on 31 January 2008. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
